Wrapping Up in Olive Green

The Christmas season is upon us! You wouldn’t be able to tell from my Instagram, but I am so into Christmas right now!! Christmas is always a bit different when living away at school. You can’t really get into decorating, and baking and all of the other fun Christmas festivities. Why? There are so many other things that take priority! For me, it has been my third practicum in Grade 1!!

Dress: c/o Zaful / Boots: Guess / Necklace: Icing

My days have been filled with teaching my students how to write, marking upon marking, and pure exhaustion. I have loved every minute of it. I have one more practicum in the new year and then I am a certified teacher! Wow! I can’t believe two years is going by so quickly. The past month has been packed full of craziness, but now that it is all coming to a close, I am ready to jump into the Christmas season with two feet!

Baking, going to the Toronto Christmas market, getting my Christmas shopping done – all activities that I will be quickly getting into. It’s one of my favourite times of year (being that I looove the holidays), but the only thing I am currently missing? Snow. I WISH there was a thick white blanket on the earth right now…the weather has just been too warm (and when I say warm…I mean 0 degrees).

One bonus to not having foot after foot of snow? I get to sport this cute little number still. Taking pieces and transitioning them to different seasons is one of my favourite things to do. I decided to style this wrap dress from Zaful on its own. If it were super duper cold, I would layer with tights, and maybe a faux fur vest. However, it’s so cute, I didn’t want to cover it up in layers.

This dress is so comfortable and it’s definitely an easy piece to style. The only thing I wish I had done, was ordered one size up. The fit is good, but I like things to be a little bigger – more room to move. This dress is a little short with the cut at the front. I will probably wear it with tights from now on (partly because of the weather, also because it is short).

There are so many cute pieces on Zaful right now, it’s hard containing myself!!

Cheers to the Christmas season approaching!

Winter Transition

I would like to say that I am happy that fall is over, because Christmas is right around the corner. However, I am not quite ready to say farewell to my favourite season. We had our first snow fall on Friday, but the snow didn’t stick around. It melted within the same day, and it was back to wet leaves, clearly the end of my beloved fall season. There are no more leaves on the trees, and no snow on the ground…winter transition.

Coat: Fairweather / Top: c/o Zaful / Pants: GAP / Boots: Blundstone

I have been up to my ears in school lately, as I just started my third placement in a Grade 1 classroom – teaching, planning and all of that fun stuff! It’s such a fun end to the first semester, but it makes me realize how quickly this year is passing me by. I mean, Christmas is literally right around the corner!!

For this very long winter transition, it is best to stick to neutrals. I would love to start wearing my Christmas sweaters with snowflake themes, and cozy reindeer patterns…but it just doesn’t feel right without snow. Besides, snow goes best with those types of looks. So, I keep it neutral, and this look is such a styled neutral look.

I love playing with textures, and this textured suede coat is one of my favourites. This beautiful camel-caramel colour goes well with a lot of neutral tones, but what I love doing best is pairing it with a neutral pattern. That’s where this top comes in as the perfect piece to pair with. When I saw this top, I almost instantly added it to my cart. Zaful has come out with such a fashion forward and practical new collection, this top being part of it. It is such a perfect piece and even better, it has a little flare in the tie up side.

Obviously, there are many ways you could dress this top up, but I like it best with a casual look like this one. You could easily switch out the classic black pants with a pair of jeans. Or you could switch the boots out for heels. It depends on how dressed up you want to be. Personally, I live in my black boots (you can get pretty tired of chasing around Grade 1’s in heels).

When you have a neutral top like this featuring a little pattern, the possibilities are endless!

Cheers!

Camo Obsession

It is finally cool and crisp outside. We have said good bye to the sweltering weather, and hello to crunching leaves, seeing your breath in the cool air, and brisk fall mornings. I am pretty much jumping up and down, because fall is my favourite season, and that also means Christmas is right around the corner (yay!!).

Dress: c/o Zaful / Cardigan: Zaful / Boots: Just Fab

There are many trends that I like to embrace. However, the trend of camouflage is probably my favourite one. I could have camo everything, if I could…and I almost do. New to my camo style family is my short sleevedZaful camouflage dress. It was the perfect number to sport out on a cool, fall walk.

Now, I recognize that wearing the dress on it’s own may not provide quite the amount of warmth you need on a typical fall day. That is why I paired it with a thick and cozy cardigan (also from Zaful), some warm high-knee socks and my riding boots over top. You could easily add some form of tights underneath the dress if the temperatures were super low.

Camouflage is such a casual print to incorporate into your style. The hues of green combined together to make this simple print really add a lot of character to your look. You can add this print into your look in something as simple as a ball cap. It’s cute, it’s easy and affordable (considering camo is all over the place right now).

It’s easy to get a cute and simple look – just look to Zaful!

BIKINI SEASON

The season that everybody awaits is almost here. Summer is coming in strong and quickly, but are you as prepared as you need to be? Last year, I went on a massive hunt to find the best swimsuits I could for my move to Florida. However, I shied away from the bikini because…well, many ladies would understand why.

This year, however, I am breaking out a new look and I am on another hunt. Except this time, I am hunting down the perfect bikini. These days, finding a swimsuit is as easy as clicking a button…and well, that’s exactly what you have to do! Although, sometimes it can be hard to find a trusted site that will deliver exactly what you see.

Zaful has been my handy style site for about 6 months now, and I have been overjoyed with the products I have received. That is why I have done a little couch shopping this evening, and ultimately put together a wishlist for this upcoming bikini season. Now, I should warn you…I have not tested out the product. This is sight unseen. In no way have I actually tried the stocked collection that Zaful is offering – buyer beware.

Okay, hold on…it seems as if some monokinis and one pieces snuck their way onto this wishlist. I guess I will leave them because they are super cute (my favourite? Probably this palm print one piece). You really can’t have too many swimsuits, can you?

It will only be a matter a time before I get my hands on one of these amazing pieces…so in that case stay tuned

Peace out!

Wrap it Up!

It should be no surprise that I like clothing. I have got clothing coming out of my ears! This past winter, I have been trying to cut down on my spending, and only adding to my wardrobe when absolutely necessary. Now, I can’t say that I have been super successful…however, I am definitely learning the meaning of want and need.

Wrap Coat: c/o Zaful / Jogger Pants: Shein / Shoes: Converse

When it comes to my clothing want list, the list runs on forever. There are so many stunning pieces that are retailing right now that would make my wardrobe tres magnifique!! Included among those stunning items, is a shawl collared belted wrap coat.

A wrap coat is the perfect all-season, dressy outerwear for the fancy lady who is ready to strut her stuff. It is light, whimsical, and pretty much goes with anything (depending on what colour you order it in, of course!). Whether I am gallivanting through the streets of Toronto, walking to school, or running errands – this coat is the perfect transition-coat for the spring/summer season!

I paired this shawl collared belted wrap coat with an all black and white scheme. I wanted the camel colour to really stand out. This was one of my more casual city looks because I was bopping around the city having fun that day. I dress this coat up by pairing it with nice jeans or textured leggings, some chic heels and a blow-out of a hair-do! It doesn’t help to showcase some detail around the neckline either (wink, wink!).

If you follow my Pinterest boards, you would know that I really, really, really love coats and outerwear. Whether it is a quilted vest in the fall, or a floral jean jacket in the spring…you  name it, I love it! However, when I go through my “want list” of clothing…it seems that the list doesn’t always match up with my bank account (student life). That is primarily why I use Zaful

Zaful is a budget-friendly, high fashion, in style brand that can hook you up with the items you want…for prices that you LOVE! I never would have been able to snag this super chic, practical, and totally amazing coat if it were not for Zaful‘s awesome selection of outerwear! If you haven’t checked it out, you really should go do that now.

Wrap up your fashion with Zaful by heading over and indulging now!
