LITTLE PINK DRESS W/ TOBI

There are a few necessities that every gal needs in her closet. There is the little black dress or the classic white tee or the sexy pair of heels.  But what about the girly gal? There are a whole other realm of necessities that this girly gal must have. Why? Well, because this girl needs to stand out.

What better way to stand out than with a little pink dress? Pink is such a vibrant colour and really says you are loud and proud to be as girly as girls can be.

Dress: c/o TOBI / Trench: H&M / Shoes: Aldo

I am all for vibrant colours. They are so much fun to style and sport – especially in the summertime. However, when you transition into the fall season (which is where we are quickly headed), you don’t want to push these bright threads to the back of the closet, do you? I don’t.

The best way to keep these bursts of colour in your life year round is pair them with complimentary tones. This TOBI dress is a great summer wear – it’s light, airy and really colour pops. This look showcases how you can take a neon pink dress and tone it down for a more year-round look.

A neutral coloured trench coat is the perfect overlap for such a neon colour like this. It almost masks the bright shade so that your eyes don’t just explode with amazement staring at the bright pink colour of the thread. In keeping with the neutral tone, I picked a mint coloured shoe because mint is cooler, but not so dull as to not add flare to the overall look.

This dress is one of my faves, and I would never stick it at the back of the closet, silencing its presence in my wardrobe (that would just be cruel!).

Happy Transitioning!

Flutter Romper Vibes w/ TOBI

There is nothing I love more than trendy fashion. It can be tricky sometimes because I don’t always feel that trendy pieces suit my style. But when you love something, you have to try it, right? Obviously. I am obsessed with the romper these days.

Rompers are a key wardrobe must for the summer season. Like a dress, a romper is easy to style – add some jewelry and you are set to go! This particular romper that I am showcasing today has a bit more flare to it, which makes it super unique and easy to style.

Romper: c/o TOBI / Flower Crown: Forever 21

I realize that we are nearing the end of the summer. It is sad, but instead of focusing on the end to pool parties, cute summer prints and sundown at 8PM, focus on the amazing season coming up: Fall. Fall is one of my favourite seasons (as many of you know) for a few reasons. I love harvest festivals, Thanksgiving, pumpkin carving, apple picking – you name the fall activity and I am there.

What can you do to take those end-of-summer blues away? Fall wardrobe planning! Pull out your day dresses, rompers and cute pairs of shorts and start brainstorming…how can I wear this when the leaves begin to change? There are many things you can do…(more on that later this month).

However in the meantime, let’s talk about this extremely summery look, shall we? This TOBI romper is elegant, sleek and beautiful. With a low v in the front, it is the showstopping romper that turns heads. My favourite part of this little blue number is the sleeves. Fluttery as fluttery can be.

Rompers can be boring, but adding some great sleeve action…that’s taking your look to a whole new level. This look was super easy to put together because there wasn’t really much that could be added! The romper is the statement. In keeping with the fluttery vibes, I added a basic flower crown. Perfecto, if you ask me!

I’ve mentioned my love for TOBI before…but if you have yet to purchase…head over now and get 50% on your first order! It is well worth it!!

Cheers!

Floral Jumpsuit Style w/ Make Me Chic

I don’t know if you’ve heard, but the jumpsuit is all the rage right now. I love this trend more than any other trend out there right now. Essentially you get to wear a onesie around and remain completely in style…how much better can it get? Super comfortable.

I am all about taking my summer wardrobe to the fall season right now, and jumpsuits are perfect for fall. Not only can you wear them alone, you can layer them up for all seasons!

Jumpsuit: c/o Make Me Chic / V-neck: Garage Clothing / Bag: mark. by Avon / Sandals: Le Chateau / Choker: Thrifted

A jumpsuit is a statement – it also provides you the opportunity to build around it, making a killer and total fashion forward look. I chose to layer this jumpsuit with a simple white tee underneath because it provided a bit more coverage and transitioned this piece into a day look, compared to a night look.

Finding affordable fashion can be difficult. If you spend hours and hours on Instagram and Pinterest looking at fashion like I do (serious addict), than you know the struggle between want and need! When it comes to staying on budget, it’s all about the want versus need, right? With Make Me Chic, you can get all kinds of statement pieces at an amazing price!

Accessorizing was simple. The choker is coming back, and for a good reason! I found this choker at a local thrift shop (one of my best finds) and it is my go-to accessory these days.

Start filling your closet with affordable fashion forward pieces today. Seriously…I’m already dreaming of my next piece from Make Me Chic

I’m a fashion addict. What can I say?

Pops of Pink w/ Marley Lilly

It’s such an enchanting time of year. As the crops get ready to be harvested and the leaves start to turn, I can’t help but dream of fall festivals, apple picking and puffer vests. Okay, I’m getting ahead of myself…it is only the end of August! I just can’t help it…I love the fall season.

So now is when I begin to transition my wardrobe. Taking this off the shoulder top and pairing it with boyfriend jeans and a brightly coloured baseball cap is the perfect look to walk into the fall season wearing!

Top: Forever 21 / Jeans: Garage Clothing / Hat: c/o Marley Lilly

The small town, southern gal in me has a thing for monograms. I would monogram everything if I could! This monogrammed baseball cap by Marley Lilly is perfect for me and has quickly become my favourite hat! My favourite part? All four initials.

If you haven’t heard of Marley Lilly, go look em’ up because you seriously will not regret it! They are amazing for taking a simple item, slapping a monogram on and making it the cutest piece of clothing you’ve ever seen (because we all know monograms make everything better). Even better? They are one of few retailers who do four initial monograms!

Overall, a baseball cap is a great accessory to have. Throwing a cap on with your hair in a pony tail is the perfect laid back style. This simple one-two-three look is great for running errands, attending class and hanging out.

Romping in Palm Leaf Print w/ Shein

Blue skies, days by the pool and of course the hot Florida sun brought many opportunities to sport some cute summer fashion this season. I have to say that living in a place where you are surrounded by palm trees can cause a palm leaf addiction…

Thanks to Shein, I was sporting this cute little palm leaf number on most of my days off. Rompers are my new obsession. They are ultra cute and so practical. It can get super exhausting to be sporting the casual day dress – especially when you are having fun in the sun (and sweating bullets).

Similar to a dress, a romper is probably the easiest look to style. Especially when it’s a casual summer romper, like this one. All you really need is a cute pair of shoes and minimal accessories and you are set!

I chose to go the minimalist route with this look. The palm leaf print on the romper is summery enough to be the focal point of the look. With a cute pair of flippies and a stellar pair of sunnies…your look is complete!

Perfect for a day in Key West (a.k.a. my new favourite town).

Rompers are taking over the world, so jump on board!
