Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v13

BLOGGER (2)I want to first start by saying Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadian readers! Today will bring family, pumpkins, turkey (yum!) and lots of pie! I am pretty excited to be home for an entire week so I can catch up on readings, studying and most importantly…blog planning! Thirteen weeks straight, I have been setting goals. That blows my mind! I have gotten so much accomplished because of this weekly series, and I cannot believe how far I have come.

Last time, I set one goal for myself (in addition to one other goal I had on the list):

1. Learn Bloglovin’. So time has been dedicated…and I still don’t see anything. My posts are not posting, so I am going to take another week (my week off) to get this up and running just the way I wanted to.

Look into a linkup party and begin to plan mine. Point for me! Let’s just say…”coming soon”.

This week, I have three goals to add to my list:

Incentive Planning. I really want to build my mailing list over the next couple of months. This is something that I have kind of neglected since I built it, and I want to find some way to provide an incentive. I just have to figure out what that is…let the planning begin!

Release a DIY Tutorial. I released my very first DIY tutorial this past summer and loved it. Monogram stickers were great, and I have used them for everything…but there are some other things that I would love to share with you guys! I just have to put my thinking cap on and see what exactly I can write about!

Learn how to use my DLSR camera. My sister and I decided to purchase a really nice camera a couple of weeks ago, and since she is the one who usually takes my photos and did this whole summer, we had a great use for it! So we got it…and I realized that I have no idea how to use a DLSR camera…so that is one goal I definitely want to add.

With a week off, I am stepping the goals up this week. Obviously, some of these will not be accomplished by this week, but these are things that I need to work on, so I am adding them all to the list! I love having things to look forward to, work for and eventually accomplish, which is exactly what this series does for me!

I leave you with a few photos of my beautiful trip to the Farmer’s Market yesterday in preparation for Thanksgiving day!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v12

BLOGGER (2)As the first true week of Fall comes to an end, I am hyped to kick October into gear! Apple picking, carving pumpkins and baking pies is all coming up soon as Thanksgiving approaches and with Thanksgiving comes Thanksgiving fashion! One week ago, I was wearing summer dresses, and now I am transitioning those summer dresses with tights, cardigans and booties! This week brought a lot of assignments, but I knocked them out of the park and this weekend has been the perfect time to kick back and relax!

Last time, I set one goal for myself (in addition to one other goal I had on the list):

1. Learn Bloglovin’. Believe it or not, I am still working on this one. I have made a lot of progress. I claimed my blog, I poked around the site a bit, but I can’t really figure it out because I haven’t really dedicated the time yet. So in the next couple of weeks, I am going to try and make it what I want it to be.

2. Look into a linkup party and begin to plan mine. This one just did not go. Too many things going on, but we’ll keep this one up here because it’s something that I definitely want for Pearls and Polkadots.

This week, I have no goals goal to add to my list. This will be the last week before I go home for the Thanksgiving break, and I am going to be a tad busy! So I want to focus on these two goals so I can get things rolling!!

I hope to add more goals to my list in the coming weeks, but we have to see what I can handle! There are some exciting things planned for the future that you will see in the next couple of months including new partnerships, great series and plenty more outfit details!! I am super excited to share it with you!!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v11

BLOGGER (2)It’s the 11th volume of this series…but I am not stopping! I considered letting this series fall by the way side, but then I realized that this series is exactly what keeps me on track with my posts! I get to set goals for myself and then see how I measure up a week later. Sometimes, of course, I have to reconsider how long I need for a particular goal, and not pile too, too much on my plate (because, I am a full time student, you know!!). I just love to look back each week and see what I need to work on versus what I accomplished! Such fun!

Last time, I set one goal for myself (in addition to one other goal I had on the list):

1. Learn Bloglovin’. Still working on this one. To be honest, it’s not difficult…I’m sure it is super easy to learn. What is difficult, is actually doing it and making the time. I will get this done, because it can lead to more followers and overall can be very beneficial for Pearls and Polkadots. Goal, set, match.

Write my next seven postsAccomplished! Need I say more? I literally planned ahead and got them all schedule before their release dates (posts that is) so that I could have time to be social, dance and go to homecoming!! I am going to (cross my fingers) try to continue this practice.

This week, I have one goal to add to my list:

Look into a linkup party and begin to plan mine. I am really excited to get in to link up parties. I have attended a few, but never actually hosted one. I don’t know what it takes and I’m sure there is a lot of planning involved, so I am going to begin this process to see if I want to do it or not. Hopefully I will know by November!

Well, there are my goals for the day. I have been keeping the list really small these days, only because I don’t want to set goals that I won’t meet each week! I have some exciting things planned for the future that will roll out over the next couple of months. So that is something I am excited for!

Hopefully everyone is having a marvelous weekend!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v10

BannerOh goals, goals, goals. It’s only the third week of September (or technically, the end of the third week) and I’m already knee deep in readings, assignments and extra curriculars. What does that mean? Well, I need to really step by pre-writing game up! I can’t be spending hours upon hours on writing material for the following day. Any bloggers who releases every day knows that if you plan ahead, life is so much easier.

Last time, I set one goal for myself:

1. Write my next seven posts. So, I didn’t actually write ahead of time…because class took over. But since I have some extra time this weekend, that’s how I am going to spend my Sunday night!! Writing out the next seven days. It may be a long night…but better to have one long night…than several late ones. It’s one of the more important goals of mine because it makes blogging way less stressful.

This week, I have one goal to add to my list:

Learn Bloglovin’ – I keep hearing Bloglovin is a great website to promote your blog, gain followers, and find others in your niche. So why am I not apart of it? I’ve been meaning to look into this for a while…so this is the week that I am going to do exactly that. Good luck to me.

With the two assignments due this week, readings upon readings, and everything else going on, I think one goal is enough. Let’s see how I manage!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v9

BannerIt feels like it’s been an eternity since I last reviewed my goals with you guys!! It’s really only been two weeks. I had to sacrifice last Sunday to my “Looking Back” post for August…it had to be done before we got well into September! Oh well, the personal goals series is back and I am happy to report that I have great news!! I am also taking this chance to refresh my goals going forward. I am going to remove a few of the stale goals that just can’t remain on the list anymore and replace them with new ones!!

Last time, I set one goal for myself:

1. COMPLETE MY CURRENT GOALS. Well…I did actually complete most of my goals (which I will review in a moment), but since I am refreshing…I guess I can just keep this on the list. You won’t see it next week…because it is kind of a given that I want to complete my personal goals (obviously!!).

Learn Mail Chimp – I am happy to report that my very first newsletter (or campaign…) goes out Monday, September 14th. So make sure you subscribe using the sign up form on my sidebar to receive my weekly newsletter! I am working on an incentive! That way you will never miss my posts! I would definitely subscribe if I were you!

Done and Done

This week, I have one goal to add to my list:

Write my next seven posts – Planning out my posts are incredibly important considering I have a part time job and I’m a full-time university student. September is a busy month, but it’s only going to get busier. Plus…I want to have a life and not live on my computer? Which is why planning and writing out my posts ahead of time is going to be key.

Well that’s all I have for today! Make sure you subscribe to my new newsletter before it goes out tomorrow morning!!
