Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v15

One whole week since the big surprise…hard to believe that it was only a week ago that my friends and family came together to surprise my for my 21st birthday (two months early, I might add)!! As promised last week, pictures will be coming…as soon as I round them up from everyone! As for this week? It has probably been the toughest week of the semester with all the midterms, papers and seminars! However, the week is over, and today I am focusing on my goals.

Personal Goals - Pearls and Polkadots

Last time, I set one goal for myself (in addition to one goal I had on the list):

1. Incentive Planning.

This is a tricky one, and since I was swamped with studying this week, I didn’t exactly get around to it…maybe I can get around to it this week (hopefully, that is).

2. Release a DIY Tutorial.

Ideas have been planned…now all I have to do is pictures! Very exciting…but I am not crossing it off the list quite yet…stay tuned!!

3. Gain more followers on Bloglovin’.

I’m having a bit of difficult in this department. I am trying to learn how to get noticed on Bloglovin…but it’s been tricky!

Learn how to use my DLSR camera.

Hooray! Checked off! I am getting so much better with the camera as I begin to use it more. I also have been looking at great tutorials online! However…I want to learn more complex techniques…and for that, I need a better lens.

This week, I have no goals to add to my list. Like I do often, I am focusing on my current goals. Planning has been going so well…which will be reflected in the next month or so! Exciting things to come…so make sure you subscribe to my newsletter to keep yourself posted!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v14

I am writing this post at 2AM since my entire evening was greatly interrupted by my wonderful friends and family for my 21st surprise birthday party (almost two months early!). I try and write my posts ahead of time, but as many bloggers know…sometimes you are rushing to write them the night before! Well, with my travelling back to school tomorrow and packing today (or napping and watching Full House reruns). Thanks to many, many beautiful people…my night was filled with other great festivities!

Inside My Mind - Pearls and Polkadots

So here I am, totally surprised, exhausted and grateful for the ones who love me and brought together this beautiful party in my honor! Which is why I am not writing this goals post off at two in the morning…

Last time, I set one goal for myself (in addition to three other goals I had on the list):

1. Incentive Planning

I did not get around to this in the least. With all the sleeping, “marathoning” (it’s my term for watching one series in a day), and doing nothing…I really just didn’t do my homework. Plain and simple.

2. Release a DIY Tutorial

So this is in the works, however, it is not released because this past week was my latest series, “A Thanksgiving Series of Details!“…but that will be coming soon!

3. Learn how to use my DLSR camera

I could technically check this one off…but I won’t because there is still so much to learn! I want to keep learning…and this should be able to motivate me to do that!

Learn Bloglovin’.

Thank. Goodness. I am so relieved that my Bloglovin’ is set up!! You have no idea how much reading I had to do on this one…now I just need followers!! So go follow me

This week, I have one goal to add to my list:

Gain more followers on Bloglovin’

This one is not really within my control…but I am going to try and hustle to get more followers! I am at four right now…so I have a long way to go…

I am going to cut this post off right now because I am literally falling asleep as I type (excuse the spelling errors…). I don’t always get too personal on my blog…but this is a special occasion!

I had been looking at using a tool to help boost my followers, read the Gramista Review – Is Gramista Worth investment? Turns out, yes it is. But we’ll talk about that in more detail another day guys!

To all my friends and family: THANK YOU for such a memorable night!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v13

BLOGGER (2)I want to first start by saying Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadian readers! Today will bring family, pumpkins, turkey (yum!) and lots of pie! I am pretty excited to be home for an entire week so I can catch up on readings, studying and most importantly…blog planning! Thirteen weeks straight, I have been setting goals. That blows my mind! I have gotten so much accomplished because of this weekly series, and I cannot believe how far I have come.

Last time, I set one goal for myself (in addition to one other goal I had on the list):

1. Learn Bloglovin’. So time has been dedicated…and I still don’t see anything. My posts are not posting, so I am going to take another week (my week off) to get this up and running just the way I wanted to.

Look into a linkup party and begin to plan mine. Point for me! Let’s just say…”coming soon”.

This week, I have three goals to add to my list:

Incentive Planning. I really want to build my mailing list over the next couple of months. This is something that I have kind of neglected since I built it, and I want to find some way to provide an incentive. I just have to figure out what that is…let the planning begin!

Release a DIY Tutorial. I released my very first DIY tutorial this past summer and loved it. Monogram stickers were great, and I have used them for everything…but there are some other things that I would love to share with you guys! I just have to put my thinking cap on and see what exactly I can write about!

Learn how to use my DLSR camera. My sister and I decided to purchase a really nice camera a couple of weeks ago, and since she is the one who usually takes my photos and did this whole summer, we had a great use for it! So we got it…and I realized that I have no idea how to use a DLSR camera…so that is one goal I definitely want to add.

With a week off, I am stepping the goals up this week. Obviously, some of these will not be accomplished by this week, but these are things that I need to work on, so I am adding them all to the list! I love having things to look forward to, work for and eventually accomplish, which is exactly what this series does for me!

I leave you with a few photos of my beautiful trip to the Farmer’s Market yesterday in preparation for Thanksgiving day!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v12

BLOGGER (2)As the first true week of Fall comes to an end, I am hyped to kick October into gear! Apple picking, carving pumpkins and baking pies is all coming up soon as Thanksgiving approaches and with Thanksgiving comes Thanksgiving fashion! One week ago, I was wearing summer dresses, and now I am transitioning those summer dresses with tights, cardigans and booties! This week brought a lot of assignments, but I knocked them out of the park and this weekend has been the perfect time to kick back and relax!

Last time, I set one goal for myself (in addition to one other goal I had on the list):

1. Learn Bloglovin’. Believe it or not, I am still working on this one. I have made a lot of progress. I claimed my blog, I poked around the site a bit, but I can’t really figure it out because I haven’t really dedicated the time yet. So in the next couple of weeks, I am going to try and make it what I want it to be.

2. Look into a linkup party and begin to plan mine. This one just did not go. Too many things going on, but we’ll keep this one up here because it’s something that I definitely want for Pearls and Polkadots.

This week, I have no goals goal to add to my list. This will be the last week before I go home for the Thanksgiving break, and I am going to be a tad busy! So I want to focus on these two goals so I can get things rolling!!

I hope to add more goals to my list in the coming weeks, but we have to see what I can handle! There are some exciting things planned for the future that you will see in the next couple of months including new partnerships, great series and plenty more outfit details!! I am super excited to share it with you!!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v11

BLOGGER (2)It’s the 11th volume of this series…but I am not stopping! I considered letting this series fall by the way side, but then I realized that this series is exactly what keeps me on track with my posts! I get to set goals for myself and then see how I measure up a week later. Sometimes, of course, I have to reconsider how long I need for a particular goal, and not pile too, too much on my plate (because, I am a full time student, you know!!). I just love to look back each week and see what I need to work on versus what I accomplished! Such fun!

Last time, I set one goal for myself (in addition to one other goal I had on the list):

1. Learn Bloglovin’. Still working on this one. To be honest, it’s not difficult…I’m sure it is super easy to learn. What is difficult, is actually doing it and making the time. I will get this done, because it can lead to more followers and overall can be very beneficial for Pearls and Polkadots. Goal, set, match.

Write my next seven postsAccomplished! Need I say more? I literally planned ahead and got them all schedule before their release dates (posts that is) so that I could have time to be social, dance and go to homecoming!! I am going to (cross my fingers) try to continue this practice.

This week, I have one goal to add to my list:

Look into a linkup party and begin to plan mine. I am really excited to get in to link up parties. I have attended a few, but never actually hosted one. I don’t know what it takes and I’m sure there is a lot of planning involved, so I am going to begin this process to see if I want to do it or not. Hopefully I will know by November!

Well, there are my goals for the day. I have been keeping the list really small these days, only because I don’t want to set goals that I won’t meet each week! I have some exciting things planned for the future that will roll out over the next couple of months. So that is something I am excited for!

Hopefully everyone is having a marvelous weekend!
