Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v20

I need a night off watching Christmas movies and sipping hot chocolate…but no. I have to spend my nights writing term papers, studying and pretty much wanting to cry because of all of this work!! I cannot WAIT to pack my bags and head home for Christmas break. Meanwhile, I am getting right into the Christmas shopping season online (who couldn’t?). It’s the easiest way to get stuff done! And of course, setting these goals distracts me from all of that boring stuff too…

Last time, I set one goal in addition to two goals:

1. Release a DIY Tutorial.

Well…with term papers and finals taking over…this tutorial got pushed to this week (oops)

2. Set up Google Analytics

I need to set aside some time to complete this goal. So this may be up here for a while…

Giveaway Planning.

Finally, I can cross this off my list!!

This week, I have no goals to add to my list. I am going to stick with the major goals that I have as we head into this busy finals season.

I love planning, and this series keeps me on my game!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v19

Time flies when you’re…at school. Well, sometimes that does actually ring true. Other than procrastination, lots of Netflix watching and stumbling around trying to get my teacher’s college applications filled out, this week really hasn’t been too interesting. Life seems to be moving on regardless of what goes on, and so do these posts that I release each week! What is working for me these days are ideas for posts – gift guides, style showcases, and fashion critiques – all ideas that have just been sparking in my brain lately, which is why I am excited to rhyme off some new goals this week!

Personal Goals - Pearls and Polkadots

Last time, I set kept two goals – I did not add any new goals in order to focus on the ones that were outstanding:

1. Release a DIY Tutorial.

Week after week, and this does not get complete. However, by next week this one will be complete.

2. Giveaway Planning.

I have done a little work in setting up a giveaway (or brainstorming for one) in the new year, however I want to make sure that it is done right, so this goal is staying up here!

Although I did not complete any goals this week, through planning and brainstorming, I am a lot closer to completing these long term goals than I was one week ago – so that is a step in the right direction.

This week, I have one major goal to add to my list:

Set up Google Analytics.

I have tried this once before and got really frustrated and confused and gave up. Well, as I review my website stats via WordPress Statistics, part of me is questioning how accurate they are, and since I want to get into monetizing Pearls and Polkadots, I need to have accurate statistics.

How to Set Up Tracking for Multiple Languages In Google Analytics

My goal for this week is pretty major, and it may be a long-term goal, but I want to work to get this set up! If any of you readers have any tips on how to achieve this transition to Google Analytics successfully, feel free to comment below! I would love to hear your experiences!

That’s all from me today…not an overly exciting posts, but come back this week to check out some interesting posts that I am releasing throughout the week! You certainly will not be disappointed!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v18

I have been on fire with planning and completing goals lately! I don’t know, but lately I have just been getting idea after idea for blog posts – which never happens. I find that it comes in waves…one day I will get four new post ideas and I will jot them down in my planner, and then there will be days I cannot think of anything. Those are the worst days…especially when you have nothing planned for the next day.Regardless the ideas are flowing these days and I am on FIRE!

Inside My Mind - Personal Goals

Last time, I set three goals, in addition to one that I had:

1. Release a DIY Tutorial.

I keep putting this one off. I have the ideas in note for, but I just haven’t hammered it out in a post format – I HAVE to do that, oh my goodness.

2. Giveaway Planning.

Nope – just nope. I have not had the time to plan the giveaway…hopefully soon though!

Kick off the follow threads on the “We Blog” Facebook group.

This one, I knocked out of the park and there will be a post on in it coming soon (so look forward to that in the next couple of weeks). I head up a blogging support group on Facebook, with Adriana from Daily Dose of Design and this week, follow threads were released! We are still working out the details, but if you want to join our group, click here.

Fashion Critiques.

I released my first “pre-wear” critic review on Balmain x H&M this past Thursday and I am very pleased with how it turned out. It seemed to get people talking, and I got some great feedback. I am going to do this more often!!

This week, I have no goals to add to my list. I am going to stick with the giveaway planning, and DIY tutorial as we head into this busy finals season.

I love planning, and this series keeps me on my game!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v17

This week, I have had a good amount of downtime to plan and get some blogging things complete! It will probably be the only week of November that I can do so, since essay season is upon us (good thing I got some things complete!). I find these goals posts work really well, but I also feel sometimes I fall victim to them because there sometimes isn’t enough time throughout the week to get everything finished!

If you can believe it, I am coming up on ten months for Pearls and Polkadots being up and running! That is astonishing – I simply cannot believe it!! So much has changed and blogging has become apart of my routine, I don’t know what I would do in my spare time if I didn’t have this blog…probably study more…

Personal Goals - Pearls and Polkadots

Last time, I set no goals, but I kept the three I made :

1. Release a DIY Tutorial.

I am working towards putting this out in the next couple of weeks – planning is finished – but I want to release it closer to the holiday season (because DIY and holiday just kind of goes together…)

Incentive Planning.

It’s in the works, but I am probably not going to kick this off until the new year!

Gain more followers on Bloglovin.

I am crossing this off my list, although this technically is an ongoing goal. Through follow threads on Facebook, I have really increased my following and of course it’s only going to go up from here! Still trying to figure out Bloglovin’

2/3 isn’t bad for one week…considering my track record!! Well, I am beefing up the goals list this week and hopefully bring to you in the near future, some great new things on the blog!!

This week, I have three goals to add to my list:

Kick off the follow threads on the “We Blog” Facebook group.

Awhile ago a fellow blogger (Adriana from Daily Dose of Design) and I created a group for lifestyle, fashion, craft, and DIY bloggers. I wanted to boost this group up a bit, and provide some purpose around it, so hopefully this week we can kick off (and be successful) threads for blogger support! You can come join our group by clicking here.

Giveaway Planning.

I have been apart of several giveaways, but never have headed up one myself. Well, I want to figure out how to do it, when I want to do it, and what to give away…because this would be so much fun!

Fashion Critiques.

Lately, I have been trying to steer my blog the “fashion” only direction. I want to get into critiquing trends, celebrity fashion choices, and much more (but in a friendly way, of course!)

There you have it – three more goals to add to the list! I cannot wait to keep up with these goals, however as we approach essay season and then following, finals season…goals may begin to slow down! Either way, it’s always a great idea to look to the future!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

Inside My Mind: Personal Goals v16

I am so glad to be out of midterm season – two midterms and a seminar in one week is a little much,if you ask me. It has been all about the last minute Halloween costumes, the dressing up and spending time with friends. Even though I am finally out of midterm season, I haven’t really had much time to focus on my blog. Good thing I did a bunch of goals planning last month, or I am not sure how much would be getting released…

Hopefully everyone had a super duper Halloween night last night!! My Halloween consisted of candy, lots of friends and parties galore!! Pretty much the best Halloween you could ask for!! I got to go see Paranormal Activity, which was terrifying (definitely recommended)…overall it is hard to believe that November has arrived…

Personal Goals - Pearls and Polkadots

Last time, I set no goals, but I kept the three I made: :

1. Incentive Planning.

Wow, I really have not done this yet – I have to get on this one….

2. Release a DIY Tutorial.

Technically, I released a DIY halloween costume for you (but that doesn’t really count)

3. Gain more followers on Bloglovin.

This is something that is tough for sure. I need to focus more on this … Nothing more needed to be said.

This week, I have no goals to add to my list. Like I do often, I am focusing on my current goals. Planning has been going so well…which will be reflected in the next month or so! Exciting things to come…so make sure you subscribe to my newsletter to keep yourself posted!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!
